Our Story

In 2011, Andrew was bored of training in an old school traditional style gym. He was a little overweight and wanted to try something new! While scrolling the internet looking for workouts, he stumbled across a new style of training called CrossFit. The workouts were like nothing he had ever done before and he was keen to give them a try. Andrew searched for his closest gym and joined up the next day.

After a few months, Andrew had changed his diet, lost the excess body fat that he had initially wanted, and turned his focus to gaining muscle and getting strong. As his love for the sport grew he started to compete with different teams and travelled around Australia. He has made lifelong friends, whom he still trains with today. 

In 2017 Holly tagged along to a CrossFit intro session with her mum. Holly’s mum had heard about this crazy thing called CrossFit and wanted to give it a go. It was clear after a few short weeks Holly was hooked. In early 2018 a good friend and coach encouraged her to join the performance club and start competing with the teams. This is where Holly met Andrew. It was clear from very early on that the two were going to be inseparable. 

In February 2019, their excitement and love for CrossFit and Olympic Weightlifting led them to opening CrossFit Oxygen! With a passion for helping others they wanted to create a safe environment where they hope others will find a similar love for the sport like they have.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_column_text]

Holly has a passion for nutrition and weightlifting and is constantly looking for ways to improve her knowledge.
