Member of the Month – Anita

Congratulations Anita! She is one of the hardest workers in the room, always flying under the radar! Anita has been training at such a high level of intensity and everyone can see this paying off in front of their eyes. From being able to consistently perform handstand pushups, kipping pullups and toes to bar in workouts, to smashing out barbell PBs left, right and center. There has been nothing she hasn’t been improving in the gym. Her smile and positivity in the gym is infectious and although she may be a little quiet, everything that comes out of her mouth is either hilarious or seeking information on how to better herself and her performance. Keep up the excellent work!

If you had to say something to someone looking to try CF for the first time, what would it be?

Think twice before you join as you might not be ready for so much fun. 😉

How did you get started with CrossFit?

One of my friends introduced me to it.

How do you find/make time to get your workouts in?

CF became a huge part of my life and daily routine. I just enjoy doing it and I always feel better afterwards. 

What is one fun fact about you that we may not know yet?

I used to work at a swimming pool as an instructor!

In your opinion, what is the biggest benefit of exercising?

Exercise is one of the best things you can do for your health. It helped me to improve my sleep, fitness and built my confidence.

How has being a member at CrossFit Oxygen helped you on your fitness journey?

Motivating myself to come to the class was always my biggest struggle, but an amazing CF community and a very supportive environment helped me to win with this lazy side of me. 😉

What is your favourite movement/type of workout?

My favourite movements are squat snatch, pull ups and handstand push ups.

What is your least favourite movement/ type of workout?

Thrusters and wallballs!

What is your biggest CrossFit accomplishment so far?

A constant improvement in my strength and gymnastic skills.

What motivates and inspires you?

All the incredible people at the gym who I have pleasure to workout with!
