Member of the Month – Luis

Congratulations to our February Member of the Month, Luis! 

Luis has an amazing attitude towards his training, listens to coaching feedback and always has a smile on his face! He puts 100% into every workout he does! And for this he is our member of the month! Keep up the great work.

If you had to say something to someone looking to try CF for the first time, what would it be?

Go for it! It is challenging, fun and It works !!! It does not matter what level of experience you have. Also the community is so encouraging. Would highly recommend it!

How did you get started with CrossFit?

Been doing weights for a while but noticed I was not strong in compound movements. Also had very little endurance. So I started looking for a fast paced full body workout and found this amazing discipline.

How do you find/make time to get your workouts in?

The 6am class fit like a glove. After that I come back home, take a shower and head off to work.

What is one fun fact about you that we may not know yet?

I love to build and fix things. Love to break them apart and put them back together. Always to end up with spare screws lol

In your opinion, what is the biggest benefit of exercising?

The list goes on: it will improve your mood, your body, your endurance, motion range,  your overall health. Also I really think that people that workout regularly look younger. What else could you ask for?

How has being a member at CrossFit Oxygen helped you on your fitness journey?

I can already see changes in my body and health. Have lost a couple of kilos and gained a bit of muscle mass, extra Mobility and overall strength.

What is your favorite movement/type of workout?

Love the bar muscle ups because I can do at least one or 2. However I would like to master the HandStand walk.

What is your least favorite movement/ type of workout?

Power cleans. It is talking me a while to get the form right. 

What is your biggest CrossFit accomplishment so far?

Performing the technical exercises correctly and been able to increase in weight as I get more confident.

What motivates and inspires you?

Being the best version of myself I can be. Getting in better shape. Mind and Body.
