Member of the Month – July
Congratulations Gihani! Gihani has consistently shown her dedication to her goals. Behind the scenes she has been sticking to her nutrition plan, working out around an injury and asking a million questions to get the absolute most out of this isolation period. This has earned her July Member of the Month.
If you had to say something to someone looking to try CF for the first time, what would it be?
Give it a go because for me its allowed me to push and test myself through a variety of different areas with no prIt would be one of the best decisions you will make. You have to try CF, to experience a how much a change it would do both physically and mentally. It’s for everyone and you can scale up your self as you needed.
How did you get started with CrossFit?
I have try various others physical programs before CrossFit, but was not 1000% satisfies with results I achieved. Then one of my friend suggest me to try CrossFit.
How do you find/make time to get your workouts in?
I arrange my gym classes schedule at start of the week according to my work schedule. And also prepare my meals beginning of the weeks so I have enough time to train on working days.
What is one fun fact about you that we may not know yet?
I love Disney. Still I go crazy about all the kids movies and those characters and always watch out for the next Disney movie.
In your opinion, what is the biggest benefit of exercising?
Feel good about my self. Always its good feeling to see how much I have progress both mentally and physically. Most of the things I was scared to do before, I am able to do after I started proper training.
How has being a member at CrossFit Oxygen helped you on your fitness journey?
CF helped me in a lots of way. Mainly the attitude about being fit as a female athlete. Also learn to use the proper techniques to be success. CF allow me to find where my weakness and how to improve it. Allow me to eat right food and have the right nutrient. Importantly listen to my body and take small steps when I needed.
What is your favourite movement/type of workout?
Love everything about CF. I love the moments when I achieve something where I though I would never ever able to do. Like hand stands, pull ups double unders and etc. I love metal challenge come with the every WOD.
What is your least favourite movement/ type of workout?
I find all the upper body workouts are harder since my upper body is not the greatest strength. I am working on it.
What is your biggest CrossFit accomplishment so far?
OMG wall hand stand for 2020
What motivates and inspires you?
All the CFO2 girls inspires me. All the member from CFO2 support, encouragement and comment on the apps, FB motivates me to do better. Big thanks to help and motivation from CFO2 trainers (Holly and Andrew)
