To help you make healthier decisions for you and your family.
When I first started looking into my nutrition a coach told me “If you need to put a little bit of butter on your vegetables to eat them, then do it. Eating your vegetables with a little bit of butter is better for you than not eating the vegetables at all.” This is not to say eat lots of butter with all your meals, but to help inspire you to think about what you can do to help make your journey a little smoother.
The nutrition group challenge is an 8-week nutrition kickstart. The nutrition guide gives you all the information you need to do it on your own. Here is a list of foods to help you make healthier choices when you do your next grocery shop.
Sauces
Whenever we make nutrition and habit changes we tend to think about eating an abundance of bland, boring meals that are dry with no flavour. However, that doesn’t need to be the case. Playing around with different flavours will help you stay consistent and on track over the next few weeks. These specific varieties were chosen because they do not have added sugar. Some products do contain other not so healthy ingredients, so use sparingly. All available from your local grocery supermarket.
Byron Bay Chilli – Jalapeño ONLY
Nando’s Extra Hot, Hot, medium & Mild
Reds Hot Sauces Original & Wings
The Fountain reduced sugar range is naturally sweetened with apple pure and is the only brand to remove added sugar entirely.
Heinz american mustard, and the Macro organic mustard range among the few mustards that do not contain sugar. If straying from these brands please read the ingredients list first before buying.
Tabasco Sauce, hot and spicy! Plus tastes great. No Sugar.
Spices
Not all flavour comes from sauces. you can add herbs and spices to your meals to make them delicious as well. We recommend ANY homemade variety you like, however, the key is to watch out for pre-mixed spices or blends.
The entire Mingle range is an excellent pre-mixed option. Tasty, quick and easy. All products are sugar-free, and a variety of fodmap options are available. Shop here.
