Member of the Month – Toby

Congratulations Toby! The improvements he has made recently hasn’t gone unnoticed! Toby have become so consistent with his training and it’s really been showing. He moves incredibly well, takes feedback on board and has been putting himself out there, especially with being a part of the CFO2 In-House Competition we hosted earlier in the month. He’s a pleasure to have in the gym, and we look very forward to seeing how far his strength and skills progress with this consistency. Keep up the excellent work!

If you had to say something to someone looking to try CF for the first time, what would it be?

It’s fun and you’ll get super fit.

How did you get started with CrossFit?

Saw the Fittest on Earth documentary, thought it was really different and fun.

How do you find/make time to get your workouts in?

Try to be more efficient during the day so I can finish work on time. 

What is one fun fact about you that we may not know yet?

I coach my son’s soccer team.

In your opinion, what is the biggest benefit of exercising?

I have more energy during the day and for all the other activities in life.

How has being a member at CrossFit Oxygen helped you on your fitness journey?

I play more recreational soccer now. I didn’t have the fitness for it before CrossFit. 

What is your favourite movement/type of workout?

Snatch!

What is your least favourite movement/ type of workout?

Strict press.

What is your biggest CrossFit accomplishment so far?

Participating in the In-House Competition.

What motivates and inspires you?

Being able to stay healthy. I want to stay motivated and energetic in everything I do, and to keep up with my three kids.
