Member of the Month – Will T

Our April Member of the Month is Will! Will has an incredible presence every time he walks into the room. He brings energy to every training session, encourages others and makes everyone feel welcome. Not only does he add Keep up the great work Will!

If you had to say something to someone looking to try CF for the first time, what would it be?

Don’t be scared. All movements can be scaled down without judgement from anyone.

How did you get started with CrossFit?

A friend posted on Facebook himself training and as soon as I saw it I knew i would love it too. Then not long after that I just happened to bump in to another old friend that had his own CF box. I’ve been training off and on since at various box’s in melb.

How do you find/make time to get your workouts in?

As I work the same hours and have no kids. I have plenty of time, but being in a routine really works for me.

What is one fun fact about you that we may not know yet?

Not that you Can tell by accent. I was born in England I moved here when I was 10.

In your opinion, what is the biggest benefit of exercising?

The biggest benefit for me is that I have heaps of energy to burn everyday and give everything I have to anything I do outside of CrossFit 

How has being a member at CrossFit Oxygen helped you on your fitness journey?

So far CF has helped me lose 6kg of body fat and increased 3 kg of muscle. I have my functional movement back which I just love. I used to do gymnastic and the feeling of full range of motion is ace. 

What is your favourite movement/type of workout?

Fave movement would be double unders

What is your least favourite movement/ type of workout?

Least fav thrusters I think?

What is your biggest CrossFit accomplishment so far?

Biggest accomplishment would be getting my muscle ups back.

What motivates and inspires you?

My continual improvement drives/inspires me to see how far I can go. One foot In Front of the other to see how far I can go.
